Batavia Hill & Gully Riders

About the Club:
The Batavia
Hill & Gully Riders was organized in 1972. The club remains small in
size with a membership of 20 families. We are currently responsible for
8 miles of funded trail on Corridor 34 from Random Lake
trail to Beechwood and a funded portion toward Adell. We also maintain 3
miles of club trail. Grooming of the funded trail has been contracted to
Schwartz Septic Service (Howard Mitchell) since the 2005-2006 seasons. We currently
groom our club trail with a groomer purchased in 1985.
Club meetings are held the 1st Tuesday of month from
October - April at Silver Creek Fire Dept. Hall at 7pm. Club dues are $20 per
year.
Brief history on Club Groomer:
The groomer pictured was purchased new in 1985 from the S&W Mfg Company
in Manawa, WI. This was the second new groomer
purchased from that company which has since gone out of business. The groomer
is equipped with a 65 HP Wisconsin Air Cooled Engine and fully hydrostatic
drive system and capable of a 6 foot grooming width.
Today this machine is still in good working order and is used to maintain 3
miles of club trail.
